As a service to the transportation industry NATC is providing a source
   for you to obtain copies of major HazMat and Safety Dockets issued
   by the US DOT.

   For those of you who may be new to the docket system we provide
   the following general direction:

   - Dockets numbers are used by the government to identify changes
     to regulatory requirements, which cover both small and large groups
     of regulations, all relating to a specific topic.

   - Dockets starting with HM deal with hazardous material regulations
     issued by the US DOT under PHMSA.

   - Dockets starting with MCS or ORMC deal with safety regulations for
     transportation by highway and are issued by the US DOT under FHWA.

   - Some docket numbers are followed by letters which indicate
     they are a continuation of an original docket in a specific area
     (example - HM-215)
