NATC Accident Mitigation

If North American Transportation Consultants, Inc. (NATC) could
have several wishes, one of the first would be that none of our clients
every has an accident or incident. However, in the real world most of
us will be involved in an accident sooner or later.  While the cause of
the accident and steps to prevent another accident of the same type
are very important, managing liability has sometimes overshadowed
   these concerns.

In today’s world being right does not always mean being treated fairly.
Time and again carriers and shippers are sued for millions of dollars
for accidents they did not cause.  The fact that your product is being
transported or your company is operating the vehicle at the time of
the accident, is enough to cost you and your insurance company
   substantial funds.

NATC has developed approaches designed to assist clients to protect
themselves from punitive damages, by removing the issue of negligence
from their action. Without negligence most states will not allow punitive
awards. When an accident or incident occurs it is fair for the party that
caused it to pay for correcting the situation. Such actions and cost are
usually referred to as compensatory damages.

   The approach developed by
NATC centers on being pro-active before
the accident or incident and ready to properly react at the time of the
accident or incident. A company's reaction at the time of the accident
or incident is very important to the way it is treated by the agencies
which must respond and follow-up to the accident or incident.

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO IDENTIFY THE LIABILITY EXPOSURES TO
YOUR COMPANY AND HOW WILL YOUR COMPANY RESPOND TO AN
   ACCIDENT OR INCIDENT?
